Hey all, i'll keep this short and simple.

The names Dave and I'm currently training to be an Armourer, got a few more weeks left at Cosford then I'm away in the 'Real Airforce'. Hoping to get posted to Leuchars, I want to get into some new sports aswell as ramp up my MTB activities.

Joined her Maj's service because I was sick of the job I was in and wanted something new and different, and to get my hands dirty! I had wanted to join for a couple of years before I did, but never, bit of a mistake but I'm here now!

Dave

Welcome to the goat. From a cold war plumber to a "New Gen" plumber I wish you all the best as one of the chosen. Don't forget to visit the e goat armoury.

Welcome to the Goat & good luck at Leauchars.I have a mate up there on 6sqn who's a plumber so if you bump into a Chiefy called Pete, say hi for me.

Fancy, giving up a Job to be a Plunger...err plummer!

Welcome, anyway.

I think I joined at the wrong time, cuts here and there. There will be nothing left soon.

Thanks for the welcome guys... and girls if any:PDT_Xtremez_14:

There will always be Plumbers. RAF or RFC. Just remember it was always better before, for everyone.

Welcome Biggus! As stated previously, you will enjoy it, and if you don't, you ain't trying hard enough ;)

How long is Baby Bomb Head Trg these days then?

Sorry, I've been busy driving around looking for other armourers....

Welcome dude...

Thanks, and it's 14 months at sunny ol' Cosford. Though about a third of that is just academics, which i find a bit odd as you've already got the required amounts to get in, on paper atleast. More time should be spent doing practical, our 'bread and butter' rather than just a few days on this and a several days on that. I know it's just the basics but i think more hands on is needed.

Welcom, and dont worry, you'll get plenty of hands on, hands on beer, hands on lager, hands on ........I'm sure theres something else. Welcome to Gods trade and enjoy.
