ARRRRRR
I've used online brokers to get discounts out of dealers before and I got my last motor from Drive The Deal.
Once a price was agreed, I just dealt with a standard dealer.
As it happened, the model I ordered had a lot of extras and between ordering and delivery the manufacturer changed the model spec AND lowered the price. I thought I'd be stuck paying the old price but as some of the goodies I ordered had become standard and the overall price had dropped I ended up several hundred quid better off with the dealer I was buying from dropping the price accordingly from the original much cheapness price anyway.
Your local dealer can only afford to go so low, and that might not match the price from the online broker who can put in touch with a dealer somwhere in the country who can and may indeed need to go lower to match his volume targets.
OK the dealer was at the other end of the country but me & mrs KF just made a weekend of it and went and collected the new car!
