Anyone else been pinged extra early for OOA?

I was down to go to Al Udeid next Jun, res Feb. Found out today that I'm going first week in Oct - no major panic today from me, honest!!!!

Just wondering if anyone else has had the same thing happen to them? Expected to go on my reserve date, but an 8 month jump must be a record!!

If they pulled the det forward by 8 months where I work, then we would be going out there before we got back from the last trip.
Damn, I hope I haven't given them any ideas.
 
Same thing happened to me mate, there has been a number of new slots created which has meant that we have all been brought forward, i'm going Basra, not too bothered just want to get it all out the way.

Seems alot of posts in Basra are going pilgrimshuffler

My Bahrain was brought forward from 09 to Basra in July 08 and then changed to FI in November and now finally Helmund in July..........just waiting for Bahrain now and i'll "deal"
 
My OOA was brought forward by 8 months, and they gave me 8 days notice!! Was in Akrotiri at the time without any kit, and no PET completed but they still sent me. Over Xmas as well, family were well happy!

It is a fooking joke, i'm not going to put too much on here incase our lovely drafter is sniffing but it seems that things have gone from bad to worst since a certain someone has joined the team. Apparently they are a joy in AIR Command at the moment. I know people that have been put back that are desperate to go away ANYWHERE, they are being told to Wind Their Necks In, Unbeleavable!

I agree with you ther PS, they are being PARTICULARLY unhelpful at the moment, and it is for all ranks in TG4. I wouldnt mind if the ****s would give people a straight answer one way or another.::/:
