I missed the boat on a 60 point course costing 770 quid. So I've been waiting for registration to open on the next set of dates only for the price to jump to 2500. Mint!

What course was that then? If you want it badly enough you may have to burn an ELC on it...
 
If you can register with an address in Scotland the prices are still around 700 quid. Perhaps have your materials sent to a mate at Lossie or Leuchars. The only problem might be tutorials, you can ask to go to different ones to those allocated but they won't be with your tutor.
 
You should have had the option to 'opt in' and fix your course prices to 2013 if you're in the middle of a qualification.

If not, and it's your first course, unlucky!
