As per the title - what exactly is the over 37 package? How do you get it? Is it worth having? Any links so i can read up on it?!

IIRC the Over-37 Package is an Army measure as they restrict several of the allowances relating to seperated service until their personnel reach (spokkily) the age of 37. The RAF and RN do not place these restrictions on their personnel.
 
The over 37 package is Army specific and basically relates to the waiver of accommodation charges for married personnel who serve on a voluntary separated basis. All married RAF and RN personnel who live in are exempt accommodation charges, but as a general rule until Army personnel reach age 37 they must pay if they live in.
