Pay increase on Promotion

Hello everybody, could anyone tell me (including where they got the info from) exactly what the % pay increase is that you get on promotion. I've heard it's at least a minimum of 2% but i've also heard 5% increase. Thanks

Pretty sure it's 5% for promotion to Sgt, 2% ish for the rest.

Stuck is right min 2% unless CPL -SGT and 5% to reflect the pressure with such responsibility!!LOL

Have a look in JSP 754, not got it to hand so can't comment specifically, bu you should find the gen regarding your particular situation there.

I wouldn't worry too much, you've probably got plenty of time to either speak to your PSF or even have a look in the JSP 754.DT_Xtremez_19:

It is all detailed in JSP754 Chapter 3 Section 7
2% minimum pay rise on promotion (Paras 03.0706-03.0705) with the exception of promotion to OR6 (PO/Sgt/Sjt/CoH...) where there is a minumum of a 5% pay rise on promotion (Para 03.0706). Other exemption is from promotion from OR4 direct to OR7 (Para 03.0707); however, I am not aware that this happens in the RAF (could be wrong though).

Cpl on Level 7 higher spine would go to either Level 4 sgt higher spine (if the trade was in the higher spine at sgt).

Cpl level 7 high spine = £33 182.16

+ 5% = £34 841.268

Sgt level 4 high spine = £34 889.76
