Sometimes when I go to shut down my laptop after being on-line, a box appears saying one or more PDF documents are open, the thing is iis the last time I opened a PDF document was a couple of weeks ago.
Can anyone shed any light on it for me???

Go start menu -> Run then type in msconfig

Select "Selective startup" then click the end tab "Startup".

Find anything labeled Adobe and deselect it. It will tell you you need to reboot. Do so and your woes should be over.

Another possible solution - without the need to reboot:

Open up Task Manager --> Processes tab:

In the Image Name column find and select 'AcroRd32.exe'

Select End Process button
