Hello, my name's Rebecca.
I wonder if you can help me. I'm a TV researcher and the company I work for are making a five minute feature on Edgar Pasks lifejacket trials during WW2. The film will be part of a programme that's aired on one of the main terrestrial channels.
If you’re not aware of the story, Pask joined the RAF on rescue missions and witnessed airman drowning after they bailed out of planes. He was horrified after many were unconscious when they hit the water and if they landed face down they drowned.
He began experiments to improve the design of the Mae West lifejackets.
We’d like to locate ex-servicemen who used these lifejackets or had colleagues who died in the manner described above.
I checked with the forum administrators before posting this, if you can help or point me in the right direction it would be much appriciated.
Many thanks,
Rebecca
