I have had the misfortune of hearing some truly horrendous cover songs in my time, but today I was scarred for life by a trio known as the Puppini Sister. Poopini sisters more like! It was bad enough that they attempted Kate Bush's Wuthering Heights and things got rapidly more offensive with their version of Blondies Heart of Glass. Ultimately these two offences pale into insignificance when compared to their truly horrendous version of The Smiths song, Panic. I actually thought I was going to be sick at one point. It makes Mark Ronson's crimes against music seem like mere misdeameanours, almost enjoyable in fact.

It's not that I have anything against big band and swing, I love Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennet, Dean Martin and the likes, but those guys had class, skill. Genuine talent. The sisters Puppini are simply horrific, I would rather pour molten Titanium into my ears than listen to them again.

You're curious now though, aren't you? Oh well, if you insist....
