I'm just looking for a bit of gen here, on a fairly complex issue.

I received a written warning at my old unit in jan 2009 for failing rafft, which I think was then sent to P1.

I was posted in sep 09, and at my new unit in Oct 09 we had a brief saying that they were "wiping the slate clean" regarding fitness test fails, and that from then on it'd be 3 strikes and out.

I started with physio 16th Nov for a recurring issue and was discharged from their care in Jan 2010 after following their programme, however I was downgraded for other medical reasons, right up until Oct 2010. According to JPA I have a FAIL against me for 23rd Nov 2009, yet I dont remember taking the test at this point, and I have never had a formal warning at my new unit, or been placed on a 12 week programme of fitness.

I was given time from Oct 2010 til now to get my fitness up, which has been a real struggle for me, given the long period of 'downtime' and if I fail at this point I am concerned that it will count as a 2nd fail, although I don't remember taking the test in Nov 2009.

Is there a way to determine whether I actually did take it (I genuinely can't remember) and if so, what level I reached. If it emerges that I did take it, should it count against me given that i was under C/O Physio Dept at the time?

From a Data Protection point of view I would get the fail checked out first. No computer system should contain incorrect personal data about you.

There is a separate system that the PTIs use (i forget its name) that records all your marks. It should be on there.

Speak to PEd flight?

Surely a date of the 23rd Nov whilst you were under the physio has got to be hoop. As well as chatting to PEd, confirm your dates with the physio and if correct they will kiss it off. Furthermore, if you haven't been placed on a 12 week remedial programme, you can't have failed.

hmmmm

hmmmm

If you had a written warning then they may have given you a fail in Nov for not taking the test? you would have had 6 months which would have taken you to July then maybe a few months for them to try and catch you and then may have just recorded it as a fail? or maybe as you were overdue at the new unit you may have got a month to pass or record a fail?

The PTI system is called FISS I believe and the printout is what you should take on det with you. It will tell you when and what levels but think it will be in VO2max rather than level 8/3 or whatever.

Good luck been through the whole thing myself and the 3 sides never seem to talk.

Were you downgraded AND EXEMPT fitness testing at that time?
If so it shouldn't be registered as a fail. You can't fail a fitness test if you're downgraded and exempt, you can fail to reach the level required whilst rehabbing but until you're upgraded and eligible for testing it shouldn't be on the PTI system as a fail.
