Hi, My husband also in the RAF just got promoted to Cpl so we are now headed for Brize. Heard nothing but bad reports about the Married accom there and now starting to dread it!, especially as we have been living in our own house for the past 3 years and now have to sell/rent it and def won't be able to afford to buy down south! Please can anyone advise of best areas (if any) to request! Other than the accom am looking forward to the move! Thanks!

They do look dire on the outside, and it is a gamble as to whether you get a house with a shower fitted, but on the whole they are a decent size inside, warm, good gardens in some areas. Beverley and York Cres are bungalows. Massive rooms and gardens, most with off road parking too. Brittania close are big brick houses that are decent size, I believe. Anywhere else is concrete prefab lookin houses. They do look dreadfull, but are good sizes. Some are getting knocked down soon. Lord close (up by the high school) are of similar design but are pebble dashed to look nicer. The houses are dotted all over town tbh. DHE should give you a map with all the housing estates in the town. Overall the houses are ok, they just look awful, but ya get used to it. Sorry its a bit vauge but Its been a few years since I posted there ('07).

sorry to break this to you, but they have recently started boarding up all the empty quarters. The place looks like a council estate from hell.
As said allready they are old and dated inside and out, but they are big. That is about all they have going for them.
Choose a bungalow if you want a massive garden, everything else is terraced with small to smallish gardens unless you get one of the SNCO's houses over by the gate. If you want any pictures of your offered quarter drop me a pm and ill see what i can do.

As well as the quarters in Cartoontown, Brize also has some quarters out at Long Hanborough. :PDT_Xtremez_26:
