Hi folks, looking for a bit of info for a prospective scopie.

On the premise that I used to wear light blue he asked me where he might be posted on his first and second tour.

The bumf from the AFCO seems quite vague and I know lots of units have closed or scaled down since I left 15 years ago so my advice is limited.

But then everywhere does compared to Basra. See what they've reduced me to? I'm actually missing the bloody bunker!

On a serious note, tell your man to take everything the AFCO tells him with a pinch of salt. I'm getting fed up having young guys work for me disaffected after just a year in the trade because it's not what they were expecting. I'm guessing NAIDOY is offering a visit? If so, take him up on it, get the inside scoop on the trade straight from the horses mouth.

Must dash, it's tea time. What'll be on in the mess tent tonight? Curry perhaps? Just for a change. Roll on Christmas.
