Potential RAF application messer-upper

My brother was recently caught driving without insurance. He got a fine and 6 points. Will it affect an application to the RAF? He wants to be a AMM becoming a heavy after Cosford, so there appears to be no apparent problems for his chosen trade. Anywho, any light shed on the matter would be greatly appreciated! Yes, five years from date of conviction, under the ROA Rehabilitation of offenders Act, any fine received by court is automatic 5 year wait until spent.
