Hello all,

Just thought id sign up to the forum as in process of filling out the forms for the RAF Regiment reserves.

Whats my story?Well im 26 and from Norfolk.About About 2 years ago I became bored with my life so applied for the Royal Marines and spent months getting fit and passed selection this time last year. After passing I had a change of heart decided that I couldnt make the commitment as a regular serviceman.

I still feel im 'missing something' so started looking into reserve forces and found the RAFR.

Only problem is I work irregular shifts in my civillian employment and my employers are being a real pain about giving me permission to sign up.If times were not so bad I would leave and go somehwere else but with jobs had to come by I would rather not resort to that just yet.

I need to get my fitness back up-upperbody stregnth is still on par with how I was when I went for RM selection.CV is lacking so back out on the running

Anyway enough of the lamenting-hopefully things will get straightend out soon enough.

Cheers
