Hi,

I am in TG9 and we currently have a 6 month PVR time. Is there anyway I could extend this to 12 months? 6 months is just not enough time to fit all my resettlement in. The trade is rumoured to go back to 12 months anyway but I can’t find out when.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

Shane

Can I just ask why its not long enough? I'm not being arsey - just interested...

I am just very busy at the moment. I dont want to loose out on anything. I know there are quite a few resettlement courses I am intitled too and with training for my next career and renovating my house I really would like to have 12 months to use my resettlement entitlement

Resettlement is a duty, so work can kiss your swingers on that front. Did you not think about the timescales before you clicked your way to freedom? (if you have already)

I would suggest that you engage with your PFOM and the Chief Clerk rather sharpish............

Nope not put it in yet. Thought getting my questions answered first might be a good thing to do.

When you PVR, you can put in the date you want to leave. Put yours in as 12 months from today (or close enough, whichever suits you better) Put your last working day in for a Sunday as well, 2 days free money.

Now that is what I wanted to hear! Is that when I enter it in on JPA?

I pvr'd last year and on JPA it asked for your last working day. 6 months is a minimum not mandatory. Simply state the date you want to leave and go from there, but I echo the other advice and go and speak to PFOM and chief clerk first!!

Then as FOMZ said, resettlement is a duty and will take the priority!

Guys

Thank you all for your help. Meeting with PFOM booked for Monday.

Cheers
