Can anyone help, I have put my PVR in via JPA over 3 weeks ago and my boss still has not actioned it says hes to busy! is there a time limit before my JPA application times out and I have to start again?

I have a job lined up and the company are prepared to wait but if it is delayed any longer the window of oppertunity I had will have well and truely shut.

Easy way to get things moving is to raise a redress. Will mean he will have to "find" the time to take care of it.

Don't know what your PVR waiting times are like but guessing they will be quite long, sounds like you have found an understanding company, unless you have told them you can be out quicker than you really can ?

Anyways best of luck, life is so much more fun this side of the fence.

Crack on...................:PDT_Xtremez_09:

See the WO as a first port of call, explain the pressing nature of the JPA action required, and request he has a quiet word in the gent's ear to pull his finger out of his friggin arse, and look after his blokes like he's paid to do?

If you're leaving you're nowt to lose anyway:PDT_Xtremez_28:

It's backdated to the day you effectively submitted your notice, regardless of who has or hasn't got the time to process it, one of the few aspects of employment law they can't squirm out of.

I suspect it is being "sat on" to give you time to reflect on your decision as per guidance notes. With 6 months minimum PVR time I wouldn't worry too much about it, go ahead and book your resettlement courses then ask him to sign the resettlement activity release form, it might just be the kick up the arse he needs.

JPA says he is too busy or your boss does? Soory had to ask that one.

There is a time limit for the application to stay in his workflow IIRC then it should in theory go on to the Chf Clk (happened to mine). You will not have to resubmit. Siting in the workflow will not affect your requested exit date. I take it your job offer is for after your minimum waiting time?

You will not have to resubmit

It depends on your Chf Clk mine timed out twice (was then rejected by the Chf Clk) before being rejected by my Boss, it may of been due to the content but I assumed it was due to needing a commissioned officer to approve?

Timeout or not people are not doing their duty and looking after your welfare....you have applied to PVR and it should be actioned in a timely manner.......IF they do no (as in this case) they need to be shown the error of their ways......QOR or Redress will do this and hopefully fcukup their career at the same.....their own falt as they should have done it when they had the chance.

As has been said what have you got to lose, you want out anyways ! :PDT_Xtremez_30:

I escaped that place not that long ago!

I have to echo what Tashy has said here, your boss seems to be stalling for time on this one, which could be due to the current PVR problems that are happening at the moment. Do what 3WT says, go and see the WO. There is no point of an officer stalling for time on a PVR when you have clearly made a descion that you have had enough and have a better job offer on the cards. JPAC is usless for this sort of thing. PVR's should have been left as a paper, not computer action as I think JPAC, like other things, screws things up. If all else fails with your WO, put in a redress but only as a last option. Your boss is primarily there for your welfare and he,or she seems to be failing on the front. Good luck.

I was in the one at lossie, wasnt all that bad but then again that was a few years ago before everything went to rat droppings

As others have alluded to, your boss may be stalling for time.

However as your exit date will be when you asked for, not when he/she actions it, he/she is only shooting themselves in the foot when it comes to a replacement, as ACOS have less time to action it, hence your post will, in all probability, be gapped until someone can be found. Hanging onto your PVR only increases the chances of that gap lasting longer.
