Morning All,

Need some Gen on Qs please...

I'm off to 'a sandy place' in a few months, and just been given my Job Description. However, I have no idea what some of the Qs are, and PSF have no idea either.

Qs in question are...

Q-D-H
Q-D-CB
Q-D-MEH
Q-D-TH

Many Thanks

I am sure a door slammer will be along in a minute, but I seem to recall the H was HGV3 or whatever they call it now, CB was Counter Balance Forklift, MEH was self propelled pedestrian controlled equipment and TH was Telehandler (forks on an extending boom)

Jimps

Do you get a separate Q now for each vehicle type?

It used to be just Q DB then each type of vehicle annotated on your 600 if I remember right.

Just to close the loop on DS comment, the following info was gleaned from the Halton site...

They're all driving Q's, so your friendly MT section will no doubt be able to assist... :)

BTW, the spelling of 'trailor' is from the web site... :D

Cheers Dilbert. I think I'm pretty much all over the details now.

As for MT helping... they're civvies...

Why should that make a difference. They have a job to do just the same as any blue shirt MT. If they are not doing it the station execs should be made aware. Too many civvy sections are ****e simply because they are allowed to get away with it. And yes I am a civvy driver in a civvy MT section and if I heard someone say that about my section I would be ashamed.

As has pretty much been said the Q Annotations should be as follows:

Q-D-MHE No such annotation (but it obviously relates to Mechanocal Handling Equipment

Q-D-MHE(CB) Qualified Driver Mechanical Handling Equipment (Counter Balance)

Q-D-MHE(TH) Qualified Driver Mechanical Handling Equipment (Tele Handler)
