But a bunch of RAF blokes were on Omaha Beach (and promptly, not later on) manning a RADAR installation (the spams having not considered it necessary, I understand). The guys who were there went on into Germany and 2TAF. There's a book about 2TAF and in the later volume/s there's some proper gen.

I got told by the survivor (I think he's the last Englishman who was there), that the RAF records (and even Kew) did not have the official records and thus many organisation were unaware of the part played by some RAF experts in the D-Day event.
