• Another old RAF film: from May 1987.
  This time following 12 Squadrons participation in NATO training exercise Opengate back when they were equipped with the Blackburn Buccaneer.
  
  The part of the enemy ship is played by HMS Kent of the Royal Navy.

Filmed well before 1987, clip is from the back end of 12 Squadron Buccaneers, which I first saw as a Space Cadet in 1979/1980. Released in 1978, it was directed by Hugh Hudson, who´s next film won 4 Oscars (Chariots of Fire) and was also scored by Vangelis (´Sprials´ and ´to the Unknown Man´ being the tracks on the 12 Sqn film). Without doubt the best RAF Recuiting film ever made in my view, period.
