Hi,
if anyone can help out with a question would be appreciated. I'm doing a ice sculpture of a gunner holding an SA80 and has to be wearing the mudguards. question i have is are the mudguards on both shoulders or just one and if just one which.

Much appreciated for any help.

cheers.

anyway back on topic cant wait to see what it looks like (if we get to see the pics) as the last one of the wokka was brilliant :PDT_Xtremez_30:

The guy asked a question and I'm sure someone will provide an answer as his sculptures look amazing and obviously attention to detail is paramount (as shouted at me by RAF Regt DI's at Halton!)

However further attempts at dragging this thread into a personal slanging match will be met with deleted posts, and if the warning is still not getting through a short cool off ban may be added. If you want a fight, get in the fight club otherwise drop it.

Thought it might be an honour that he chose a Rock Ape as the subject of his sculpture. He had the choice of the whole British Army to choose from but he chose RAF.

Thanks for the replies lads. And techie tubby..cheers for the offer but just an image would be helpful.

Also if my posting this question has rattled anyones cages..you are most welcome to discuss it with me in the freeezer with my chainsaw. I have posted elsewhere on this site to spread word of the large discounts i do for all members of UK armed forces and associates/family. I hope this isn't a cause for contention?

While on subject of ice sculptures i have an order for an Apache AH64 cancelled for a wedding (bride to be had PTS on return from Afghanistan). wondering if any bases would be interested in it.

regards,

J

Always willing to help a nutter who fecks about with a chainsaw for a living.:PDT_Xtremez_30:

They wear them on both shoulders, and look like this - the top one is for their No1 uniform & the other is for everyday use on their 'greens' or CS95.

Can I disclose the fact, that this sculpture is for me. I am a rockape getting married this friday, the other half only starting looking at ice sculptures in the final months leading up to our wedding and saw the one of the soldier in the kneeling position. It also is doubling up a luge down the barrel for sampling some vodka too!

You can't wait to see it? nor can I!!!

Nice one. Make sure you show us the results of the sculpture when you've sobered up.:PDT_Xtremez_30:

Good luck on Friday fella.
