After yesterdays Defence Review of the RAF does anyone know or heard anything regarding the future of RAF Reserve Squadrons ?

On the MOD website it states there will be a review and a report carried out that could take up to 6 months to complete.

Think you answered your own question there....

In RAF News CAS says:

"the immediate intention is to cap the RAuxAF at about it's current strength"

Anyother decision is pending Reserve Forces review in about 6 months time.

Our Sqn had an AVM's inspection just prior to SDSR. Everything he said at his brief came true at anouncement time. For the auggies, he said that there would be a greater reliance on auggies but focus would be "where the reserves seamlessly integrate with the regulars".

I don't know which units he was refering to but it sounded as if there would be more of a reorganisation of squadrons which some disbanding and some expanding rather than a cut to overall numbers.
