Whats the gen for joining RAFA nowadays? Is there a way to join via JPA or is it just join online from the official website.

I see that they are struggling due to WW2 veterans and older generations passing on so i thought I would sign up again (£16 a year).

That is spot on FOMz

However it may be worth mentioning that the RAF Form 7076 will only be valid while you are serving and receiving a pay packet from the Royal Air Force. Once you leave, your membership will quickly become lapsed and the Association will probably be loosing another member.

Having membership come straight out of your wages is convenient but is, I believe, another major cause of lapsed membership in addition to the WW II veterans demise. I think the Membership Application Form on the RAFA website which gives the option for a Direct Debit to be set up would be a better option if you think you may forget to rearrange your payment methods on leaving the RAF (I know many do).

Hope this helps further
