I got rid of mine years ago but now I need a new one. My question is do you need a photograph of you in your uniform like in your ID card or will any old passport photo do? I cant be arsed going into town blued up to get my photo taken.

If I were you and if you are married I would apply for the friends and family railcard £24 apply on line and no photo. Justt depends on how quick you need it. I have used mine about 4 times and it has saved me more than £150 already. If its just for you then military card, photo doesnt have to be in uniform IIRC

Not really applicable for you as you got rid of yours but, IIRC the rail card is in two parts, one which has your photo on. When you apply via travel cell or whoever sorts it at your Unit, they only re-issue the 2nd part which has the valid to dates on.

If you need any info on trains or cheapest way to travel PM me mate I work for National Rail Enquires :PDT_Xtremez_28: (well until 8th of July anyway)

Thanks very much. It'll be March-April time. Got to go to Cosford and need to get back to Lincoln. Looked on the rail website and was looking around £31 each way Fu*k that. I'll PM you nearer the time. Cheers

I recently acquired a new railcard and I got both parts as I didn't have my old one anymore. I just went to the Photographic section and they do passport photos for free and you don't have to go into town in uniform. (That's assuming you have a Photog section where you're stationed...)

Hope this helps!

I foolishy got married and thought I only need one car now. I forgot about having to do things like Cosford for 5 weeks with no way of getting back and I wish I didn't. I'll get myself down Sports Soccer and get me a shell suit and a burberry cap for travelling in. Oh and a knife..... and some of that music they all play on their tinny mobiles dead loud.

You do only need one car....obviously the missus will be chained to the kitchen sink while you are away so what would she be needing a car for ? Women shouldn't be allowed IN cars let alone drive them FFS.

At least you know the art of urban camouflage........

Crack on......................:PDT_Xtremez_09:

If she wants to eat she got to work and she needs to get there without me. And yes the only time its acceptable for a woman to drive is back from the pub.
