Anyone else going?

Must sees: Radiohead, Prodigy, Anti-Flag, yeah Yeah Yeahs, Lethal Bizzle, Gaslight Anthem

This years Reading line-up is probably the worst I can remember.
On the main stage over the 3 days there are at most 6 bands that I would bother watching, and on the Sunday I wouldn't bother visiting the main stage at all.

From your list of 'must sees' I would only bother with Gaslight Anthem who are great, but the others I wouldn't waste my time on.

Rise Against, AFI and The Airborne Toxic Event might be worth checking out if you are at a loose end when they are on.

It seems that the Reading line-up is getting weaker by the year, is it that there are just too many festivals around these days? Of course this is all my own opinion, and we all fortunately have very differing musical tastes!

I would also say that Reading is possibly the worst festival in the UK, nothing to do with the line-ups, but purely because they are trying to fit too much festival in too small a site, they need to either expand the site or move it elsewhere because there is just too much sound washover by having the stages too close together. I think that V-festival (Chelmsford, never been to the Midlands site), Leeds and Download are far better festival sites.

I have to admit that the main stage is a bit crap this year, but that only gives me more incentive to seek out new bands on smaller stages. Thats probably the greatest pleasure I get from the festival is finding something special for the first time.

Friday main stage is fcuking shocking.
