I'm facing a bit of a dilemma as to whether I should apply for commissioning this year or to wait as I'm currently in a role where I don't want to let my management down as we're strapped for manpower (as I expect most places are).

Any ideas what the recruitment prediction for this year and next is likely to be?

Thanks.

and what about when next year comes and you're still strapped for manpower?

Go for it now, your office will survive without you (honest!)

Agreed...you'll have to lose that airmen-like trait of loyalty if you wish to be successful at OASC!

theres a quick and easy way to find out if your current work can do without you:

1. fill a bucket with water

2.place hand in said bucket (either hand will do)

3. remove hand from bucket

4. if the hole where your hand was remains you are indeed irreplaceable. (unless you left your hand in too long in too cold an environ).

5. if no hole remains apply as soon as you are ready.

hope this helps

Apply now.

Do not confuse your career development with their predicament.

The two are not connected.

Hopefully, they are mature enough to get that as well.
