As expected, Red Bull racing have confirmed that Daniel Ricciardo will replace Mark Webber next season.

The Aussie has been linked to his compatriot's seat from the get-go and was initially in competition with 2007 World Champion Kimi Raikkonen. However, Red Bull opted instead to go with the a young driver, signing Ricciardo in a multi-year deal.
It's fantastic to confirm Daniel as the team's race driver for 2014. He's a very talented youngster, he's committed, he's got a great attitude and in the end it was a very logical choice for us to choose Daniel," said team boss Christian Horner.

So Alonso to be Kimi's No.2 then? perhaps not

Just reading some of tomorrows newspapers, and Alonso is said to be furious about it.
There's noway that Kimi would ride shotgun for him. Next year could be very interesting.

Word has it that Hulkenburg will now take Kimi's seat at Lotus and Massa possibly back to Sauber, but at least Massa would get the No1 spot and would be free to race.

Can't wait.

Which one Mr Masher?

Which one Mr Masher?

I am licking at the lips to see who will be the man. Ferrari have just made a massive statement to Alonso on what they regard as the team - driver relationship. The Schumi love story days don't happen any more. Hopefully the Iceman will tread all over Alsorans cornflakes..
