Time tp wake up and realise that we are one of the biggest trade groups on the 3 units that are going to be hit hard (close).

If offered who would the redundancy payout now?

It's pennies?

Just wish I had stayed on AFPS 75, too late now.

What are your rank and number predictions within the trade do you have?

Depends on your individual circumstances.

Biggest trade group on your Unit? What fekkin Unit are you at? Biggest trade group on our Unit is TG1 and its about to get hammered With closure there are too many of them and not enough jobs or retraining courses to go round. There will be reundancies in all trades but how many who knows? Suffice to say there will be those that are keen to take it but bear this in mind. The Gubmnt has cut so many public sector jobs so quickly that the private sector can't keep up. The unemployment figures went up this week so be careful what you wish for. As for redundancy for tbose of us o AFPS 05? Even the AFBLT couldnt answer that!

To be fair, the OP did say one og the biggest trades.

Redundancy

God I am so glad that I got out of the RAF when I did in Nov 10.
It wasn't that bad having my continuation taken away in the end (*******s).

gone from a £29500 tax paid job to a £50000 tax free job.

mmmm where would I rather be.

you decide

It's all in JSP 764 part 5 if you can wade throught the flowcharts.:PDT_Xtremez_19:

Is that AFRS 06, or a replacement? Some people have told me that AFRS 06 will remain extant for this lot of redundancies, some have said it will be a newer scheme (ie shafting)

(can't access JSP 764 at the moment as I'm away, and the computer system is even worse than DII...)

How much is the difference between the two for you? I've not yet found it laid down exactly what the deal is with 05

I might be mistaken fella but I'm sure the DIN released just after the SDSR stated that only those on AFPS 75 would be considered for the next round of redundancy!

Others on here might know more.

Chad

If you can, google AFPS05 and it's easy to find, computer police permitting.

DIN 188 simply outlines changes to the redundancy scheme for those that are in the AFPS 75 scheme. It doesn't mention that they would be the only ones considered for redundancy.

Sorry chaps, your right I'm wrong.

188 outlines redundancy provisions for AFPS 75 members, it doesn't state that only these people will be selected for redundancy!

187 (Redundancy programme) is aimed at 'All regular service personnel'

In my office, we read this through the post SDSR haze differently :PDT_Xtremez_42:

Getting my coat.
