Hi there

Well started my Regiment Gunner Application today. Waiting now for Aptitude Test date.

So far in preparation I have:

-Started a hefty cardio and muscular endurance program
-Started revising on various aspects on the Raf and RAF Regiment and issues surrounding it. I.e. Nato
-Preparing for interviews

Hope it goes well.

Welcome to the goat! Best of luck with becoming a Rock, my cousin is half way through the application process at the moment, just his fitness test to pass.

Good luck I'm not sure apptitude is really the right word though. Having said that I did once meet a young guy who'd failed it for the rocks and had been advised to go into the RAFP instead........

That just wouldn't happen .... Achieved RAFP score would of aced gunner requirement.

Welcome to the goat, and good luck. Feel free to PM with any questions you might have, as I've just recently gone through the application process, although it is a bit different to the gunners. Not a job you'd catch me applying for, that's for sure! :PDT_Xtremez_14:

First step is gettng to the pre-selection course. Speaking today to an ex instructor its about fitness and attitude. For example the MFST pass is 9.10 and the BFT time is 10.30; however you must remember you are in competition with your peers so should aim to do much more. Take your time training, work up and do your best. Good luck.

Yes it would happen
People don't go for regiment gunner just because they didn't score for anything else.
Some of the guys who fail the pre selection course will pick another trade.

If you scored for another trade and it doesn't require a specialist interview then its just a straight move to that trade, no more hoops to jump through, just sit back and wait for an intake date
