Morning all

My hubby has been given a posting notice today for a move in October to a unit 200 miles from where we currently live.

I have a good job where we live now so we are going to move into rented housing and he will live in the block.

Just wondering if anyone knows when you can use the removals service and claim DA for moving to rented housing? Keen to move out asap but don't want to do it if we will not get DA and removals yet. The JSP is as clear as mud to me!

also, is it still the case that married peeps living in the block don't pay charges when their permanent family home is elsewhere?

Many thanks to anyone who can assist!

1) Where the service person chooses to serve unaccompanied, disturbance allowance may be claimed for SFA/privately owned/rented property to which the family will move. The service person must meet the other, standard conditions for disturbance allowance as well. Reference JSP 752 Chp 7 Sect 1 para 07.0117a2) Removals are possible in various circumstances, and it depends on what yours are (units you're moving between, etc). Hubby needs to speak to Unit HR soonest as you haven't, and can't, give the necessary details on the interweb for PERSEC reasons. 3) Single accomodation charges are waived for married RAF personnel. Reference JSP 754 Chp 9 Sect 1 para 09.0107aHope that helps,
