Bear with me here!!!

My photo driving licence is due a renew at a cost of £20. I'm 99% sure you can't, but can you claim the £20 back from JPA? The reason i ask is there is a difference of opinion in the office, some say yes and others no.

The rationale being like passports, the RAF pay for that as you require one (used to be that you had to have one in date at all times, now it seems only when notified of OOA etc). But my/our role specifically states a driving licence is required.
Anyway, thoughts?

loads of people made redundant and HTD only to the gate now (if you can get it, i cant and live 12 miles from work, in a married quarter).
yeah that 20 quid civvie licence. I suppose with all the cutting back on pensions they will be all too happy to shell out for you :PDT_Xtremez_42: good luck with that :PDT_Xtremez_15:

Mine was supplied by the service and I was advised I could claim it back. And did.

If driving is part of the TORs for your current job, then you can claim it back on JPA. That's what MT told me, it was and I did.

Come on, you should know the rules and not rely on some unspecified person in the admin chain to interpret the rules for you.:PDT_Xtremez_14:

Well done Dan.....Not wanting to pi$$ on your bonfire like but wait for the claim to be audited.Mr SCJ
It was audited as it went over the allowed limit for a misc>driving licence claim. However, TORs were taken in and accepted.btw TG8 Scuffer.

Corporate Governance. Otherwise known as "Civvie Serpant that ignores what is written in the JSP and makes it up as they go along to fleece the well intentioned, hard working Serviceman"!!!
