I remember getting an MT trailer accelerating toward it's terminal velocity of 124mph after we accidentally reversed it over a 70 ft cliff. Without doing loads of complicated maths that must be quite fast
hallams used to go as fast backwards as forwards. Coppers at Aldergrove used to hate us for reversing from vass to the aircraft on the pan. plus you could get them airbourne by going over speed bumps at full speed. The driver had one of bouncy chairs but the passengers used to bounce all over the place.
Anyone remember those little tractors we used to have (maybe still do)?? They looked like they should be in a factory towing pallets of bog rolls or something...
You could shove them in reverse then floor it then select forwards and pull a wheely...I remember scaring the sh*t out of myself by overcooking the reverse phase then teetering on the back wheels in limbo for about 5 seconds until it decided to put its front wheels down again...
A few weeks back, I had a Groves Crane reverse in to me in a L/R and push me backwards at what seemed like a terrifying speed till I jumped out and left the crane driver to it!!!
And he blamed me for the accident!!!!! DT_Xtremez_42:
