Is it just me or is Rio Ferdinand a complete c**k? Bleets about racism in football but refuses to wear an anti racism t-shirt today. Fair enough racism shouldn't be tolerated by any race but he and his brother are as bad as Terry and Suarez.

Erm, no if you actually read what I said I put its not acceptable to be racist. The issue is the whole of the FA use this t-shirt to tackle racism but he refused to take part.

Fcuking mong yourself. Read properly next time

As a City fan it pains me to say I can see where Rio Ferdinand is coming from. Why wear a T-shirt that says 'Kick it out', when if someone is caught and found guilty of being a racist, they aren't!

You dim fcuker! just how the fcuk are they as bad as a pair of racist abuse spitting morons?

I stand by my first post, you really are a fcuking thick tw@t and probably not fit to be around decent human beings if you really believe the drivel you spew out is accurate!

Mods Fight club please as I doubt this tw@t has the sense or intelligence to give up a losing battle gracefully!

How is refusing to wear a particular t-shirt in the same league as racially abusing someone?

I can totally understand where he was coming from. Why should he support a campaign that doesn't support him or his brother.

Its staying where it is Gem... Please moderate your language in an open forum mate.

But didn't the guy who abused his brother get a ban and a fine from the FA after the courts had cleared him. The guy who abused his team mate also got a ban and a fine from the FA. What does Ferdinand want? Bigger bans, larger fines, footballers losing their jobs, sending foreigners home, Ashley Cole to be his bessy, public floggings, sentenced to Channel 5 on Thursdays, taken to the tower. At least he made his point by chosing not to wear the t-shirt on an important day, which makes a change from him forgetting it's an important day like drug test day for example.

Did some digging around the interweb and I was surprised to find just how small and poorly funded kick it out is. I thought it was an offical arm of the FA or FIFA but not so.

•Kick Racism out of Football began in 1993
•It became the more wide ranging anti-discrimination body Kick It Out in 1997
•Its first Kick It Out week of action was held in 2001
•In season 2010-11 the organisation had an annual budget of £453,913
•Of that, £330,000 came from the Football Association, the Premier League and the Professional Footballers' Association
•It employs only seven staff

£453,913 per year that's about 3 weeks wages for John Terry, and with only 7 staff it's not going to able to do much with so few bods.

I believe that the Rio Ferdinand's and Jason Roberts of this world have this "all the white man is against them" attitude which doesn't help. Hence they are racist themselves!!!

After listening to Roberts when he does 606 on 5-Live, he can't see both sides of a story when it comes to racism and will cut a caller off when they challenge him over the subject. The Suarez case being an example. Yes Suarez is cheating, diving, racist, S**M but Evra isn't exactly a Saint.

Ferdinand is now milking it for all its worth but the public and now his boss, Ferguson are getting annoyed with him and his playing of the constant "Race card"!!

These two famous (now infamous) individuals are the worst kind.

Reminds me of John Barnes complaining at every England game he played or when he was manager of Celtic he said he was booed because they were racist. Not it was because he was C@*P.

Funny. Didn't notice that when Paul Ince or Ian Wright played for England. Must have been because they wore the jersey on their sleeve and played football with the TEAM which included white boys.

Bit of a non story really.:PDT_Xtremez_42:

He made a choice to not wear a T-shirt, like a lot of other players. It was his choice to make & he shouldn't be bullied into wearing it by the hierarchy because they believe it is right.

I'm not a fan of Rio at all, but I think he's right to make his own choice.
