I have developed an RSI (repetitive strain injury) in both of my wrists and before and stupid comments appear this is a serious problem and I need serious answers please.
One existed slightly before I started training and the other appeared during training. The right wrist is a lot worse than the left and it got to the point at the weekend where even holding a bottle of drink was causing pain, this is possibly partially due to playing volleyball recently.
I also have problems when doing press ups as I can't hold my wrists in that position for periods of time, especially with weight. Now I went to the doc and physio at Halton and was given pain killers and anti-inflamitories and the physio told me to rest, well I'm sure as you can imagine thats not really possible in this line of work.
My question is what do I do? Does anyone know of strengthening exercises I can do to build up my muscles in this area? I can't go through my career wearing supports, even if they do make it easier and less painful.
