I'm coming up to my 4 year point on TCW and currently looking around to see what's available for my next post. I'm hoping to do another green tour if possible and just wondering if any of the goaters are employed in any Bowman roles. I'm trying to find out if the Bowman jobs on Rock squadrons are for Cpl's and above or if there are any SAC slots. I'm already Q'd in bowman if this makes any difference.
 
there is Bowman slots for SAC's on Bowman school at honington but its mostly storeman stuff so it depends on what you want to do

None of these new nobbers are capable of "old skool" networking like that...
 
Lowest TG4 rank I saw on the Field Sqn was a Cpl, never saw an SAC TG4, seen a fair few Rock SAC's kicking around in the J6 part of the sqn.
 
No SAC TG4 on Rock Sqns or Cpl's AFAIK. TG4 slot is Sgt BSM though Cpl's instruct at the Sigs School at Honington.
 
Wouldn't it be great if you could look through a spreadsheet of all the posts available for every rank and trade, oh hang on.....

As I said above....i'm on leave until the end of March.
 
I asked a former 1RS discip about this role (he has had a big involvement with Bowman and RAF Regt, some newbies will probably remember him - decent bloke) and the current (well, middle of last year), TG4 SNCO on 2 Sqn emailed me. Basically, 2 Sqn were trialling the SAC TG4 slots, so they HAVE been on RAF Regt Sqns. Not sure if they are still there though.

FP HQ at Honington still haven't made a decision about retaining the SAC and Cpl posts on the Regt Sqns. I'll post something if/when I find out.
 
Trade sponcer's WO was down this week looking at the bowman setup at honington and what TG4 was doing and how the SAC/CPL posts are working out
