I've got an RAC Route 66 sat nav that always starts on the night colours...

I've tried all the obvious, updating, settings ect but can't fix it...

Any ideas?

Does it say, "G'day, Sheila" when you switch it on". :PDT_Xtremez_42:

Thinking on about this it's probably something that can't be avoided due to the design.

The light sensor averages quite a few readings over time so the display isn't constantly changing as you drive past shadows from houses, trees etc

So a register will hold the average value over say 30 seconds; at switch on the values in this register are zero or, "night light levels", and after some time the value in this register climbs to an average of daylight conditions.

That's my embedded control take on it anyway.
