A friend of my other half (whose hubby is in the Army) says that as he was attested in Scotland, their kids are entitled to a Scottish uni place - if they get the exam results - for free.
Anyone heard of this? Or is it one of those viscious rumours...?
To qualify for free Scottish university places you must have completed a set amount of your education in Scotland. I believe it's approx 60% but don't quote me on it. You must also be living in Scotland or ordinarily living in Scotland. You can apply direct to SAAS (Student Awards Agency for Scotland) for dispensation if you are of a Forces family with Scottish parents as you would have normally completed your education in Scotland.
