Hey, just need some help with something that hopefully fellow goaters can help me with. (That's all my thread ever seem to be about! Sorry for that.)

Just need to know where all the Sea Kings are located in the UK. On the RAF website it says there 6 locations for them, but it only lists two, Mawgan and Lossiemouth. Anyone willing to help and tell me where the other four are? Just in case it pops up at OASC.

Thanks in advance.

I assume we are just talking RAF SAR SeaKings here?

Based at:
Lossiemouth
Boulmer
Leconfield
Valley
Wattisham

They are no longer based at St Mawgan and haven't been since May 2008.
Also, as mentioned, there is another RAF SAR flight in the Falkland Islands.

The Navy also have 2 SAR flights based at Prestwick and Culdrose.

All common knowledge, just a shame that the RAF website is so poor and out of date. Embarrassing really.....:PDT_Xtremez_42:

The Navy also have 3 sqn's of Seakings at Yeovilton.

When is your OASC mate??? I'm there 17th Aug.

Thanks for all of that guys and gals. The RAF website isn't the best for research unfortunatly, reading up on some of the aircrafts in the inventory and it's clear that it's outdated in some parts. Ah well.

RAF Bird, I got the date for my OASC today for December 1st. I'm looking forward to it! Why are you there on the 17th? I assumed from the amount of posts you've made on this website that your already a part of the RAF. Am I wrong?
