Now that would be worth paying a few quid for, but I can see that being.... somewhat expensive!!!
$2199 says a google search! Can only find dollar prices.
Come on, if available in rip off britain they don't change the price using exchange rates they just change the currency sign
Therefore $2199 = £2199

Found this link while surfing, this looks like a great piece of kis for any guitarist.
Gibson have come up with a guitar that tunes itself.
I bet it costs a fortune though.

If you can't even tune your own guitar then you're quite clearly not good enough to be playing the f@cker!! On the other hand, anyone with a decent guitar (ie my PRS!!) wouldn't need to constantly re-tune it!!
Although surely auto tuning is just the next step on from using an electric guitar tuner that most roadies probably rely on.
If he's got anything about him, even a mediocre guitarist can tune his guitar with just one reference note from another instrument and then tune the rest of the guitar from that one note.

That's all good, but trouble is under stage lights some guitars can go a bit out. Cold guitar in transit, on some warm lights on stage. Add to that some guitarists won't have the luxury of bedding a set of strings in on every axe they own. My old Epiphone used to go out of tune for a week after I changed the strings, but after that it wouldn't budge. Besides, when I got my bottom of the range Ibanez RG with floating point trem, I got the springs locked off because they are notorius for going mental even when you do a bit of heavy palm muting. On the other hand, anyone with a decent guitar (ie my PRS!!) wouldn't need to constantly re-tune it!!
