Does anybody know if it's possible to get hold of records relating to your time in the RAF? The type of stuff I'm talking about is copies of old assessments, course reports etc. Is this kind of thing held on file or discarded once you left the service?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

When I left I requested a printout of all the info that PMC held on me - a Data Protection request - they delivered a couple of days before I handed everything in - it was about 20 pages long and didn't really hold a great amount of interesting data - had the old 6442 assesment numbers and postings etc... May have changed a bit these days - and I'm not sure how much is held after you leave...

Im just applying for my Dad's records from WW2.
You need to fill out a MOD Form 1694 Subject Access Request (SAR) Form

Should be available through the MOD website.

Hope this helps
