Quite right too.

I'm not entirely sure what happened with the transfer dealings at West Ham.

What I have noticed however is that a Sheffield United defeat is NEVER the fault of the players or more importantly Neil Warnock.
It's usually the referee that's robbed them. Either that or the pitch was appalling (reserved for away matches). Either that or the "linesman" was wrong not to award 3 penalties to Sheffield. Or they've had a very busy fixtures schedule. Or the other team cheated.... (Back to excuse 1 again).

It's a shame as Warnock seems a bloody nice bloke away from the pitch.
The pure vitreol he spews at the end of every inevitable defeat though is embarrassing to watch. He'd do well to learn a bit of decorum and humility from the likes of Chris Coleman or Stuart Pearce.

I feel the right decision has been made. I would rather see a football playing team like the Hammers in the Premiership than a long ball team like the Blades.

I do like Neil Warnock, as he took my beloved Plymouth to Wembley and promotion. However, he does moan and complain too much. The Blades were relegated because the players were not good enough.

The only problem I can see in the future is that a precedent has now been set. Fining a club £5.5m when avoiding relegation nets them £30m isn't right. The fine should have been larger to deter other clubs attempting the same mistake. Plus the fact The Hammers could sell Tevez for another £30m doesn't seem fair.

Not sure Tevez is the Hammer's to sell, far less for £30m. I just think that if it had been one of the so-called bigger clubs who had complained, the result would have been different.

The £30Mill was from money for staying in the Prem. You are right if one of the big teams complained it may have been different. However, Shef Utd were not good enough. There you go.

West Ham admitted there mistakes at the first hearing, mistakes that were made by different management and board. Once the Premier League made their decision there would be no way on earth that it could have overturned. It would make their legal standing in football a complete farce.
I do feel sorry for Sheff Utd, but at the end of the day, West Ham one 7 of their remaining fixture and escaped relegation by the skin of their teeth.....Sheff Utd didnt and got relagated.

Sheff Utd's argument at one point was that if they had Tevez in their team then they would have escaped relegation!!!! well they didnt and they still beat the Hammers 3-0!!!!

Justice done me thinks, stop the crying, Sheffields soggy enough at the mo!!! however, good luck for next year and hope to see them back in the Prem soon!!!!

I have to declare an interest here as a Hammers fan, but.........

If you read the actual reports, which are available on the prem league website, instead of just the rubbish that the currant bun gives you. You will see it was actually the new board who took the irregularities to the premier league. The new board, knowing full well the possible implications, still stood up and said "we have a problem". Now they could have covered it up but shouldnt honesty be rewarded? I'm not saying let them off and with the heaviest fine in football history (I think), West Ham were punished.

What would have been interesting was if Kia Joorabchian had bought the club. This would all have been a moot point. I firmly believe that Kia knew from moment one what he was doing and if he didnt get the club would leak details to the press about a situation he knew was against regulations. This can only have been confirmed by him siding with Sheff U in the appeal.

As such I hereby nominate Kia Joorabchian for theladf's w@nker of the week award!:PDT_Xtremez_32:

Why don't those northern monkey's just let it go. Lets face it. If you play w*nk football you're gonna go down. So stop bleating a suck off a ferret.

Anyway, glad to see we've reverted to form and lost as usual.

Up the 'ammers!!
