Even though I am a Stacker, I've come to this forum for help as I've asked everywhere else without success. The question is on DR's. If I get a receipt from the Yanks (NC 00 or 01), MILSTRIP, I bring it on REU. If it's a DR then RED. Is this right?

Now what action do I take for such a DR? How do I let the Yanks know its a DR? I have looked in the JSP at MILSTRIP and Foreign Military Sales (FMS), but it doesn't tell me how to DR the Yanks? Foreign Military Sales seems like we are buying from the Yanks, so if its a DR how do we get our money back?

Please can I ask all you professionals out there to look through the JSP and help me?

Many thanks Liar.

I think you will find it is called a ROD stands for Reciept of Discrepancy. There used to be a copy in the AP830 and JSP 336 whether it is still in the JSP 886 I dont know at present. I am away from work but back in tomorrow. Also the IPT's used to hold copies especially the Chinook one because of all the cock ups with the States. Hope this helps a little.

MILSTRIP DR's

MILSTRIP DR's

Having just checked an old copy of the JSP886 Vol 13

UG 7/4 Para 10 b - Receipt Procedures - American Sourced Equipment said:

"Action any discrepant receipts in accordance with Leaflet UG 8/1 Annex C using TC RDU"

Update
Annex C is a Packing Detail Report- must say i've never filled one of them in

Not sure where UG 8/1 is these days but it might give you a starting point

Hope it helps PM me if you want any more details or copies?

This brought back some memories from my days on the mighty 'toom. ISTR that DR's on receipts from the US had a separate procedure and forms. Once the form was raised , it was sent off to either SM 39 or45 at Carlisle ( showing my age here) and they got on with it; no further action being required at unit level. I do recall a separate DR register being maintained for these DR's but it was purely for reference and not for progression. Robby has pointed you in the right direction. No doubt with all the advancements in modern technology, things have changed somewhat.
