Mani has suggested that the Stone Roses have the potential to reform. Next year marks the 20th anniversary of the release of the unparalleled and definitive album that helped spark the Manchester scene, flares, baggy tops and Ecstasy.

I first saw the Roses at Trent Polytechnic in the autumn of 1989, just before they became hugely successful on the gig circuit. It is still the best gig I have ever been to.

Does anyone remember Spike Island??? Did anyone on the goat go??

A reunion would be awesome.

Trouble is, Ian Brown is dead against it,

Never go back.
Love the Stone Roses to bits and was gutted when they couldn't play Glastonbury '95 but are things ever that good when they reform?
A guy I worked with was at the legendary Spike Island gig. I wish I'd been there.
