Storm Darragh very windy, raining and generally miserable weather. Footy matches off, golf courses closed etc etc. Here in the soggy midlands it's been raining since early morning and the wind shows no signs of abating yet. All fence panels intact at TB Towers

How are we coping folks?

East coast here. High winds overnight that have abated, intermittent drizzle but depressingly grey skies. Not a nice day but have seen a lot worse.

South Yorkshire - drizzle with strong winds and temperature dropping.

Kent/London borders here, wet & windy but not in the "expected damage" region so not any expecting issues.

Its windy here, but everything seems intact in our street. Local app last night was saying a tree has blown down and blocked the road into Stamford from one of the villages.

Myself and my neighbour invested in good quality fencing and concrete posts/gravel boards last year, and all appears sound. The remainder of my garden is very exposed, but has vertical slat panels with a 1cm gap between each slat to allow the wind to pass through, and in 4 years Ive yet to replace a slat.

Edit - just back from my dog walk and I didnt see any major damage in and around a 2 mile radius of where I live, apart from a few small branches (less than 3ft in length) down.

Nth Wales here, was out with the chainsaw yesterday removing a tree that had come down on a neighbours car and surprisingly only left a small dent in side of roof as it was held back by another. Loads of others down nearby including two big ‘uns in the churchyard which may be interesting.. Off over to our woods later today to see the damage there. I had a 100 yr old Oak that the Mrs refused to let me fell..understandably really, that was a victim of storm Arwen a few years ago. It produced some lovely timber to work with and I’m expecting a few of the huge Douglas Fir to be down..keeps us warm as well.

It got a bit brisk up here on the NW frontier of England. The only bit of damage was an old sandstone wall at local school ended up in the road luckily no body injured. Apart from that a bit of flooding at Keswick camp site and other usual flood sites.

Our neighbour had her front fence blown over in the wind last night, not a huge surprise as it was a bit 'floppy' anyway. We went and picked it up off the pavement for her and put it on her lawn and even doing that it was falling apart. The sea was a bit rough this morning but nowhere near as bad as we have seen it.

We lost power for 18 hours or so, however I was savvy enough to purchase a couple of largish portable power stations(last year). Enough to keep the fridge and freezer ticking over and running the Broadband!!!!!!! We still have an open fire here in NI and have a gas hob, so we were fairly self sufficient and not too worried when the power went off.
