Substitute SFA

  • Following weeks of work, the E-GOAT team are delighted to present to you a new look to the forums with plenty of new features. Take a look around and see what you think!
Depends where you are in the country ours was £600 and the house we ended up was £675 and we had to pay the excess plus grade 1 charges.

I believe that the amount of SFA you receive is related to going rate for the type of house you are entitled to ie if you are entitled to a three bed house with garage, you will get sufficient allowance to cover that entitlement in the area that you are being accommodated. Therefore your entitlement in London will be far more than your entitlement in say St Athan. In addition, I think that DHE find the house for you and it isn't that easy to 'shop around' anymore.

Of course I could be completely wrong and standby to be corrected!!

There is no limit, but saying that, you don't find the property. You have no role in the finding or sourcing of the properties. The whole process is done by a company called HCR, they source two properties for you. You then choose one of those two properties. If you don't take one of those two properties then its the same as turning down SFA -wait for years.

Whole process for me has been a mare.

Where are you going?
