Were up! The mighty Black Cats have done it. Thanks to Palace beating Derby this afternoon, Sunderland are promoted to the Premiership.

So next week it's between us and Birmingham who are also promted for who wins the title. We are at Luton and the Brummies are at Preston who have to win to be in the play-offs, so I fancy our chances. But whatever happens, well done the lads, fantastic job by Keano but a special thank you to Niall Quinn who saved the club from doing a Leeds.

Being a southern drinking West Ham loving poof, another Northern side in the Premiership isnt welcome. JOKING!

I think the Quinn/Keane partnership have done brilliant for the team. Well done to all MACCUMS and hope you win the league in style next weekend!

Thanks, I’m not being sycophantic but I hope the Hammers stay up, mainly because they always try and play football and not this long ball rubbish that some clubs play just to try and survive.

Well! that will be a solid six points next year - the only drawback is all that traveling north for a foregone conclusion! .... and crap beer.

Aye well, another guaranteed 6 points for the Toon next season.

... quite miss the spit n snarl of the Tyne-Wear derby...

I bet the Cheif Constable for Northumbria went " Ohh Fcuk" when he heard the news!!.

To the Pompy fan, dream on bonny lad, when you come up next season not only will you leave pointless but you will see what a REAL football stadium looks like and get to taste REAL beer, not that watered down muck you serve “darn sowth”.

As for you saddo Toonies, bring it on, as Clint Eastwood once said “Dream on sh1tball”, the only thing the Toon will get next year is relegation.

What, the stadium of Sh!te? Seriously, I'm looking forward to seeing the london clubs play there when I visit my mate in Seaham. A few pints in Idols, watching the "pre-match entertainment", a few in the deaf club and then a nice curry afterwards.

Now that's the proper match day experience... the strippers in Idols are a sight to behold! :PDT_Xtremez_34:

Well done to your lot Capt glad your promoted. Just try to acheive 20 points before May 2008 :PDT_Xtremez_08: you wouldn't want to be relegated with so few points now would you:PDT_Xtremez_30: . Oh and it's better to avoid lower league clubs like Bury (2-0) in the cup :PDT_Xtremez_21: and you should be okay unless of course you draw the mighty Stanley. :PDT_Xtremez_28:

I was wondering when you would appear on this post. Bottle of red (or in your case brown), says that we will have 20 points before 10 other teams.

And if you want to make some money, put a bet on Sunderland playing Man Utd in the 1st game of the 2007-08 season.

Okay your on four tins of tetleys against a bottle of red squashed grapes with a screw top. Sunderland to get to 20 points BEFORE 10 other teams manage the same points total. Capt you'll never get a job at ladbrokes quoting odds like that. :PDT_Xtremez_30:

That's what a certain two people thought during the season when I offered them a bet and I have the two bottles of wine to prove that the Lads did not let me down.

I'm looking forward to your bottle making it a hat-trick of reds.

Just to make the season complete, we are now the Championship Champions. However, after watching the Preston-Birmingham game, I have to admit the Blues did everything they could to help us with their pathetic attempts at scoring.

So a big thank you to all you Brummies form us Mackems and I was quite impressed with Steve Bruce’s after match comments about Keano and us.
