Sunset Photo Opportunity

  • Following weeks of work, the E-GOAT team are delighted to present to you a new look to the forums with plenty of new features. Take a look around and see what you think!
If you're a keen aviation snapper this would interest you:

RAF Coningsby will be holding a sunset photo shoot on September 29 from 6-9pm.

It will be a rare opportunity to photograph military aircraft including Typhoons and BBMF airframes.

The event is limited to 50 places and to apply for tickets (£40) contact Sergeant Katie Mason by email Katie.mason116@mod.uk or by phone on 01526 347443.

Announced yesterday so not sure how many places left...Be great to capture some of the BBMF frames.

They will sell out pretty quickly though - spotters always have spare cash!

No mention what's happening with the £2000 that it will raise.

So glad I'm on leave then as it'll undoubtedly be a cluster****.......:PDT_Xtremez_30:

Hey ISIS stop messing about hacking websites. Just apply to get on Unit to take "photgraphs"........ FFS.

If a spotter pays his 40 sobs and takes a kick-ass picture can he sell it for profit? It's of Crown property on Crown property so is it kosha for him (I doubt females are involved or even factor in these sad lonely people's lives) to make his entrance fee plus some back?

Of course they do because they don't have a life to spend it on....

Harsh but fair I feel

Apart from Thermos flasks and tupperware sandwich boxes....... Oh and the obligatory bright orange cagoule.

The spotters, particularly around Conz should take their spare cash and put it towards extra life/accident insurance, given the blatant disregard they have for their own safety when trying to capture that all important shot along Dogdyke Rd.

I can't tell you how many times I've had a cars reverse out without looking or worse slam their anchors on without warning.

Ive also witnessed a particularly slack jawed couple, transporting their brood of kids, including a push chair, along the road, creating absolute havoc for passing traffic. Should there be path ways? Of course, but as there is not, these idiots should be more careful.

*quietly steps off soapbox*

Don't forget the bobble hat and 6 step ladder for those dirty over the fence shots.

At Fairford a couple years ago my mate and I were going over to the hangars, so we pulled up outside the spotters enclosure and tried to spot a Dave with a 5 step ladder. Luckily the guys we were asking saw the funny side.
