Does anyone know what terminal benefits you recieve when you leave the mob? Do you get disturbance allowance and stuff like that or just your petrol to wherever you're are going to be living?
If you have applied for a Last Tour of Duty or Final Tour of Duty, as it's now called, and Manning haven't managed to get you assigned to that location, then you are entitled to Removal costs, at the very least. However, there are limits ie, you can't apply for a FTOD to London then expect the RAF to pay for you to move to Plymouth, if that's where you suddenly decided to move to. The 50 mile limit comes into play.
However, if you haven't applied for a FTOD and say you're serving in Marham, but are gonna move back to Liverpool, then they won't assist you in any way shape or form to get back to Liverpool.
And of course, you can't apply for a FTOD unless you're on for 22 yrs or more.
