I have heard that the names were released last week.

Has there been any promotions at your unit?

JANTO knows my feelings on this years board but i've found out a few things in the last week which have been 'revised' since SJAR's came in:

No more written Career Briefs. (The advice is to ring the desk for 'career managment advice' not sure what the desk know about Supply duites on TSW, TAS, FHQ/ILOCs or IPT duties but thats the advice)

No more % of B grades read by the Board.

I've been to every available briefing and it was news to me, now we rely on the pre boarding individuals giving a fair review of the SJAR.

I'm not sure how Quality checks are done on the reading cell, but QA is not really an area the Shineys have adopted!

Their record speaks for itself if you are in the know; pre-board scores more often than not match real boards.

PS. I suspect recent board predicted reqs are tumbling as we speak, PVRs being pulled out starting to effect numbers in future.

Heard they'd picked up 10 with the first promotions appearing this Summer? As normal, loads of rumours circulating....:PDT_Xtremez_31:

Top tip, we will be lucky too see 10 this year due to changing employment opportunites. Luckily **** yer pants brigade ( I still look good for my age) will be off despite recession even though a few oldies still want to stay on.

Forgive me jumping into your forum but I have to correct you on 2 points - written career briefs are available and a % of B grades will still be considered.

KG, who do you speak to get a written career brief? I'm sure it says on acos manning, they are no longer available, so they put up a FAQ page.

Speak to your Chf Clk. He can get you some good info from JPA which can tell you how your F6000/SJAR's were pre-boarded and your grade together with the President of the Board's report. The full blown career's brief doesn't tell you that much IMHO but if you want it your Chf Clk is your first port of call.

Your having a laugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since it was announced TG17 special breed were moving onto pop stars wages, the chf clerk in our place is far too busy checking out latest BMW sales site and holidays to Barbados etc to bother with all that career nonsense. I was think of offering the post up as a NATO exchange, there must be loads of excellant Polish WOs who would do a far better job.

Gillo don't be bitter, one day your TS will get TG18 on pop star wages. In the meantime if you can find a Polish Warrant Officer to take my job I'll happily vacate it.
