Just heard a tasty rumour from a decent source that due to the lack of people taking their third from the last Cpl-Sgt board a financial incentive may be in the offering in the not too distant future. Probably along the lines of a high pay band award.
That would be nice, ay? :PDT_Xtremez_14:

Well you won't go to the high pay band unless your nominee to face the job evaluation board puts up a good enough case. That said, retention bonuses are all the go these days.............

Any ideas on how many turned down their 3rd?

Have to be a bloody lot to give you or me a chance!!!!!

Have to be a bloody miracle for you to get it ya lazy t *** lol
You back in the sunny place again?

Apparently only 14 out of the 1st 30 selected actually took the promotion. I believe they are down to 60th on the list trying to fill some tasty Regt Sqn & MCTC Colchester slots.

This will probably end up with some form of golden hello or jump in pay bands to start on level three maybe, rather than an FRI or the higher pay scale.

Nice one Norman

Well done Norman, you have used e-goat just as it should be used- to start and promote rumours!

I don't see it myself, why would they want to retain Sgt's when it is the SAC's and Cpl's who are leaving in their droves! If the £1300 bounties are a sign of the RAF's priorities it is the lower ranks who are leaving. I know lots of people are refusing to sign on but I am constantly assured that JPA can't calculate how many are not signing on so why would they try and retain something they don't see is leaving early!!!

Off Topic I have heard that some Sgt posts are being cut, in particular at Wyton, which is one place a Sgt can provide some experience to the civil service and monitor what Units are doing- oh yes big brother is watching! Add this to the 8 Sgt posts lost at Colt and the one at Neatishead and the numbers are going in one direction! Off Topic

Just watch for the next round of SAC's being cut. It will make the stats look good if we get rid of as many gapped posts as we can, then recruitment looks better! If the high heidyins want to get rid of SAC's, swop them for storekeepers, 2 SAC's = 3 SZ2 Storekeepers, is that VFM or what!
