On Thursday July 17, I attended my aunt's funeral at Teesside Crematorium. A Senior RAF Officer was there for the preparation of the funeral for SAC Mark Currie, to be held the following week.

I have joined E-Goat as a civilian to see if I can thank this person who kindly kept me company until my extended family arrived. I would like to pass my grateful thanks, as a lone Aussie sitting on a crematorium park bench, to this very nice man for his kindness and friendship. I thought that he was one of the nicest people I met on my UK travels.
My father was in the RAF and it was wonderful to see the RAF being represented by such a sincere and caring Officer.

The only clue I have of this Officer is that he has, as part of his duties and in my interpretation, the security of combat airfields as well as a welfare role.

If anyone on E-Goat knows of this Officer, could you please forward this message.

Cheers

I've spoken to the OP about this already in PM's and advised that no-one will pass on contact details for PERSEC reasons. However, if anyone knows the Officer in question and can let him know, in order to make up his own mind on making contact or not, it'd be appreciated.

Thanks,
